Prior Lake Athletics for Youth

Registration

Refund Policy

P.L.A.Y. operates a no-refund policy with a small number of clearly defined exceptions.

The policy

Registration fees pay for facilities, officials, equipment, uniforms and league entries that are committed the moment teams are formed. For that reason P.L.A.Y. operates a no-refund policy once the registration deadline for a sport has passed.

Exceptions

  • Withdrawal before the registration deadline. Refunds are issued minus a $27 non-refundable deposit that covers processing and administration.
  • Medical reasons. If an athlete cannot participate due to injury or illness, a refund may be granted with a doctor's note. Requests are prorated based on how much of the season has been played.
  • Program cancellation. If P.L.A.Y. cancels a program or is unable to place an athlete on a team, the full fee is refunded.

How to request a refund

Email the sport's Vice President and copy the P.L.A.Y. office at playadmin@playinfo.org with the athlete's name, sport, season and the reason for the request. Include supporting documentation for medical requests. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method and can take two to three weeks.

Financial hardship

If cost is the barrier, do not withdraw — apply to P.L.A.Y. It Forward instead. No child is turned away from a P.L.A.Y. program for financial reasons.
