Officials & Umpires
Baseball and softball umpires, basketball officials, lacrosse and volleyball referees — P.L.A.Y. needs them every season, and they are paid.
How it works
2. Train
Attend a rules clinic and mechanics session led by experienced officials before the season begins.
3. Get scheduled
Pick up games through the scheduling system — you choose the nights and locations that work for you.
4. Get paid
Officials are paid per game, with rates that increase by age division and experience.
Who can officiate
Youth officials
Officiating is one of the best first jobs in town. Middle and high school athletes can work younger age divisions, learn the rules from the inside and earn game fees around their own practice schedule.
Adult officials
Experienced adults are needed at the older and travel divisions. Prior officiating experience helps but is not required — training is provided.
Interested? Email playadmin@playinfo.org with the sport you would like to officiate.
